
Forth Ports are working closely with leading masterplanners RMJM, RTKL and Edinburgh City Council’s planners to create a landmark waterfront destination. In addition, local community councils, schools and special interest groups have also played an important part in shaping the development proposals. To date, over 1,000 local people have had direct input to the plans. In particular, local people wanted to see:
Public participation will continue to be critical in the detailed planning of each phase as Forth Ports seeks to protect the interests of Leith and at the same time reconnect Edinburgh to its waterfront.
