We will create a vibrant community where people can live, work and enjoy themselves safely

• The development will be based around nine urban villages and will help the city meet its demand for housing across all lifestages.
• The first two urban villages within the proposed development will provide a thriving ‘heart’ incorporating retail, commercial, cultural and leisure development
• The other villages will have a predominantly residential character, interspersed with a mix of community, leisure, retail, and business uses. An industrial zone will also be provided.
• 35 hectares of safe open space, public walkways and civic spaces will be created.
• Located 3 miles from Edinburgh City centre, the development will form a natural extension of the city from the traditional areas of Leith out to the waterfront, and at the same time incorporate new bus and tram routes, linking the waterfront to the city centre.
